What Mentors Do

What to expect when you join.

Your Responsibilities

  • 2 one-hour sessions per week with each apprentice, scheduled directly between you and your student
  • Beginning and end-of-set grading using mentr’s rubric
  • Ping the program director and apprentice in the designated Discord channel at the start of each session
  • Communicate preferred apprentice placements during the pre-set interview window
  • If an apprentice goes inactive, contribute 3 hrs/week in replacement work: 1.5 hrs office hours + 1.5 hrs content creation

What mentr Handles

  • All student intake, applications, and payments
  • Progress report compilation and delivery to students
  • Sponsorship, marketing, and community presence
  • Group session slide deck templates (2 group sessions per set)
  • All admin, legal, and operational overhead
Who Qualifies

What we’re looking for.

Competitive Background

Applicants must meet at least one of the following:

  • Achieved top 5 on ladder in their region
  • Currently or recently participated in the TPC (Teamfight Tactics Pro Circuit)
  • Competed at Worlds
  • Actively creating educational TFT content with a strong social media presence (must also be Challenger or above)
Coaching Ability

Being a great player is only part of it. You need to be able to explain concepts clearly, identify mistakes quickly, and run structured sessions that produce real improvement.

Consistency

Sessions run on a schedule you set with your student. We need mentors who show up, communicate proactively, and stay engaged for the full duration of the set.

Communication

Active in Discord. Responsive to your apprentices and to the program director. Any changes or issues get flagged early, not after the fact.
